3 Easy Self Love Rituals To try

February is the month of love, and often we invest so much time planning the perfect outing with our friends, or a romantic date with our partner, that we forget to put that same care and planning into ourselves.

We believe that rituals can be as grand or simple as you'd like, but the important part is care and intent. Be sure when you practice your craft, especially when you are the focus, that you show yourself care, and you treat yourself with grace and pure intent. Here are a few simple, and accessible rituals that you can do to show yourself some love.

Journal and/or Meditate

Journaling is always the easiest way to work through big feelings, and help refine your thoughts and intentions. If you read Tarot or Oracle cards, you can easily incorporate them into this exercise.

  1. Find a calm, quiet and cozy space. Light a candle, or play your favorite music.

  2. Think of something you love about yourself- physically, mentally, or emotionally. Either write them down, or say them out loud.

  3. After you list each trait, take a deep breath in. Hold that breath for a moment and focus on the warmth growing in your chest. Imagine it as your heart growing with more love.

  4. As you exhale, visualize yourself blowing out any anxiety, or insecurities you may be holding on to. There's no room to hold them in any more.

  5. Say the phrase “I am made of, and to love”

  6. Repeat this as many times as you'd like. We suggest at least 5, but we think you can and should do as many as you can!

Create an Alter Dedicated To Yourself

We love having an alter permanently dedicated to self love, but even if you choose to only have it up for a short time, you're worth praising.

  1. Clean/cleanse whatever space you plan on using.

  2. Add crystals or herbs that magnify feelings of love and joy like rose quartz, rose petals, or citrine. If you have favorite crystals, add those too.

  3. Add a candle, preferably pink, but if you don't have one, choose one with a scent or intention you love.

  4. Add photos of yourself that make you feel good. When you place them visualize where you were when the photo was taken, and the joy you felt in that moment.

  5. Add any items that hold significant meaning, and feelings of love. Kiss them as you place them.

  6. Admire your alter, and yourself. You are worthy of all the love you see displayed!

Have a magical everything bath or shower

We will never stop talking about the joys of magic while bathing! It's the easiest way to add more magic to your daily routine. For this ritual though, take time and make it special.

  1. Create a romantic atmosphere for yourself. Light a candle, get clean fresh towels, and use your favorite products. If you have a face mask tucked away in the cabinet, this is the perfect time to bust it out.

  2. Soak and relax. If you're showering, enjoy the warmth and steam. Try to push all stressful thoughts out of your mind, and focus on the comfort you're creating.

  3. When you're ready to, begin washing your hair and body. While you wash, speak out load every part of your body that you love. Compliment yourself the way you would those you love most. Only use kind words!

  4. As you rinse off, visualize washing away insecurities and negative thoughts. Watch them drain out of the shower/tub

  5. After you dry off, moisturize, and as you do visualize creating a barrier of protection made of the love you carry for yourself.

  6. Put on your favorite comfy clothes, and treat yourself to a good snack, and quiet rot. Give yourself a break from your phone if you can help it.

How ever you choose to celebrate yourself, we are proud of you for making the effort. We'll be back for the monthly newsletter in March. Until then, be well.
