What is Beltane, and how do I celebrate?

Beltane, or Bealtaine the Gaelic May Day Festival is on May 1, 2026 marking the beginning of summer.
Historically this holiday was celebrated in Ireland, Scotland, and the Isle of Man, and is held about midway between the spring equinox and the summer solstice.
Now beloved by Neopagans, wiccans, and beyond this holiday is filled with feasts, flowers, bonfires, and a wide variety of ways to usher in a prosperous season. |
Holidays like Beltane can sometimes bring pressure to celebrate big, or try to stick to the ancient, and historically accurate celebrations of the past.
